The Human Factors Engineering team within Device Engineering, R&D, in Lund needs reinforcement and we are looking for a Human Factors Engineer. The Human Factors Engineering team’s responsibility is to always put focus on whom the user of our products is and what goal the user have when using the product. By working use centered throughout all the phases in product development we can reduce the risk of developing products that the users find hard to use and in worst case can lead to serious consequences for the patients. We can also reduce the time the users need to spend on education and product training.
Our goal is that all Gambro products shall be perceived as easy, safe and pleasant to use by the intended users.
We work with both physical and cognitive ergonomics and use both theoretical evaluation methods and involvement of the end users in interviews, observations and usability studies during product development.
You will work in different product development projects where your focus will be to make the product easy, safe and efficient to use.
We can offer a varied work that includes many interfaces both internally in the company and towards our customers.
The position is a permanent full time employment

Job description
The work tasks varies and include among others identification of user needs and use requirements, conceptual user interface design, risk evaluation from handling perspective and usability evaluations. You will be responsible for:
Plan and drive use study activities with the focus on user, use environment and handling aspects
Analyze and define usability goals and usability related requirements for the product
Design and document handling concepts
Usability evaluations for concepts and prototypes using scientifically recognized methods
Usability validations using scientifically recognized methods
Risk analysis from use perspective

Bachelors of Science in Human Factors Engineering, Master of Science in Human Factors engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
3 – 5 years of relevant Human Factors Engineering experience.
Strong communication skills in written and verbal form. Fluent in English in written and verbal form
Ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders and perform within a cross-functional team environment.
Demonstrated understanding and application of Human Factors techniques on complex programs
